Synopsis
The Resilient Heart: Guidance Through the Sirah is a two-day spiritual retreat designed to rejuvenate the soul and rekindle the heart’s connection with Allah Almighty and His Beloved Messenger ﷺ. Held on 27th and 28th December 2025 at SimplyIslam, this annual retreat invites participants on a journey of reflection, learning, and spiritual renewal, delving into the timeless lessons of the Sirah to cultivate strength, faith, and compassion in the face of life’s challenges.
This year’s theme, The Resilient Heart, focuses on the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as the ultimate exemplar of endurance, love, and spiritual fortitude. Through a series of lectures, discussions, and devotional gatherings, participants are guided to uncover the deeper meanings of the Prophet’s trials and triumphs, and how these lessons can inspire steadfastness and hope in our own lives.
Led by a distinguished panel of scholars and teachers, including Shaykh Mustafa Briggs, Dr. Nazirudin Mohd Nasir, Dr Muhammad Mubarak, and several local Asatizah, the retreat explores various dimensions of Prophetic character and spiritual insight. Sessions such as The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ: The Luminous Centre of Existence, The Prophetic Heart: Cultivating Emotional and Spiritual Intelligence, and Prophetic Leadership Blueprint: Nurturing a Compassionate and Inclusive Community, highlight how the Sirah remains a living source of guidance in an ever-changing world.
The retreat also delves into the artistic and spiritual expressions inspired by the life of the Prophet ﷺ. Through sessions like Beyond the Surface: The Spiritual Legacy of the Sirah, and soulful renditions of Qasaid and Amdah by the Singapore Haqqani Ensemble and Sidi Nidhoil Ibrahim, participants experience the beauty of devotion through poetry and song, allowing the heart to absorb the Sirah not only intellectually, but emotionally and spiritually.
Moments of collective worship, including Ratib al-Haddad, Dalailul Khayrat, Wirdul Latif and Mawlid ad-Diba’i, provide opportunities for remembrance, connection, and spiritual elevation. These shared acts of devotion strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood, nurturing a community of seekers united in love for Allah and His Messenger ﷺ.
Throughout the retreat, participants are encouraged to engage in reflection, dialogue, and shared learning. The atmosphere of sincerity, companionship, and spiritual focus allows individuals to not only learn about the Prophet ﷺ but to internalize his example, building a heart resilient in faith and radiant with love.
